LIQUID DIET

Liquid diets are effective but as a form of fasting, can be very dangerous as well. Yes, they do contain all the daily nutrition any body needs to maintain health, but the plan, any plan, must be followed exactly as designed with doctor consent as a first step. This could be a good jump start plan.

The grocery stores have shelves lined with choices for liquid diet plans. These plans do work but are really hard to stick with after the first couple weeks. The need to chew is a basic need and unless you are extremely busy so that eating is hard to fit into your schedule, you will find yourself hunting things you can munch after time.

I personally know a couple people who used the liquid diet plan for loosing unwanted pounds and did have success. Also, watch the sodium content if you have to watch your salt intake.

Famous icons or stars are making use of rapid weight loss programs including Beyonce Knowles who used the so-called "master cleanse" diet of water, lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper, which is, by the way, a starvation diet program.

Because such diet programs make us drop one dress size a day, we tend to follow them big time. We have this goal in mind to look like the next super model with the diet we do, thus, the need for rapid weight loss programs.

Starvation diets are known to make people lose as much as one pound a day but it does have its dangers. We have to be extremely cautions when we employ this diet program on ourselves. Habitually starving ourselves may lead us to develop the eating disorder, anorexia nervosa. What you loose is not fat but water weight and some muscle tissue weight. Not a good thing and not a lasting fix.
